Requirements: This site can be viewed in any size screen resolution. The site looks best in a Firefox or Netscape browser, but a warning to any IE users, as the site was coded for Firefox. And last, but not least, this site is family-friendly (and spoiler free), unless a warning is written.

What Is Anime?

Anime is a style of animation that origined from Japan, with a distinctive character and background artwork that visually set it apart from all forms of cartooning animation. While some anime is entirely hand-drawn, sometimes computer assistance in generating the animation is used. Most storylines are fictional. Anime is broadcast on television, released on DVDs, or sometimes included in consoles and computer games. Anime is mostly influenced by manga, Japanese comics. (more...)

What Is Manga?

The word 'manga' translates as 'whimsical pictures'. Manga, like Anime, is a style of cartooning that originates from Japan and shares the same characteristics as anime. Unlike Anime however, Manga is Japanese comics not animation. Many Anime are mostly influenced by Manga. (more...)
