Becoming the Anime Freak
I got into anime 3 years ago while watching the forever kid famous "Pokemon"(Animal like creatures with amazing powers that people called trainers catch and have them fight against a rival Pokemon). At that time, I was a computer nerd (but I still am), and would spend day in day out searching for Pokemon information on the internet. While reading about the art style, I found that Pokemon was a japanese animation called Anime. I didn't care about that...yet.
One day, while looking around in the library, I so happened to be in the artbook section. I don't know how, but I vaguely remember pulling out a artbook labeled "How To Draw Anime" (by Christopher Hart). I opened the book and read the intro page. Anime? I've seen that word somewhere before...
Taking the book home, I started drawing, drawing and drawing. My mother bought me lots of sketch books, which I never finished half way. As my drawing grew, so did my interest in anime. I bought new artbooks, started watching more anime (such as Cardcaptor Sakura, Angelic Layer, Inuyasha...), and discovered manga.
Well, to wrap a long story short, ever since I started drawing, I have not stopped. I'm still discovering new things each day and I find that my artwork also improving.
